FUTUR SS19 Lookbook Draws Influence From Skateboarding Culture
A former pro skater-turned-photographer shot the collection.
French label FUTUR has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook, taking to the streets of Paris to showcase its collection all around the City of Lights. This season, the brand — which celebrates its 5th anniversary this year — offers up a number of streetwear pieces that were inspired by skateboarding culture.
To bolster the skating influence, FUTUR called upon former pro skater-turned photographer Quentin de Briey to shoot the imagery. The assortment includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, pants and accessories across a clean palette of red, yellow, and blue, with black, white and grey providing the neutrals. Tees feature a range of graphics including the “FUTUR” logo, as well as illustrations of a duck and a TV. Colorblocking is threaded throughout the tops and makes up prominent design details on the brand’s “Triple E” hoodie. Bottoms are comprised of shorts and long pants, and presented in all solid colors with the exception of the printed “Check Track Pants.” Accessories such as caps, patterned bags and socks finish off the looks.
FUTUR’s SS19 collection is available to shop now at the brand’s webstore.
