Takashi Murakami Takes His Artistry to Cherry Fukuoka in New Collaboration

After dropping off 3D-animated visuals for a Billie Eilish music video earlier this week, Takashi Murakami‘s colorful artwork is back in the spotlight through a new fashion collaboration. The artist has teamed with Japanese retailer Cherry Fukuoka on a limited release, encompassing streetwear staples marked by vibrant graphics.
Within the assortment are hoodies, T-shirts and a sticker, all featuring an illustration of smiling red cherries in the center. Pink and orange lighting bolts add more color to the image, while white verbiage on the back of the apparel pieces highlight branding from each label. Additional Cherry logos are placed as embroidery on the sleeve, as well as a tab on the bottom hem. Tees and pullovers in the range are offered in both black and white, while the sticker is printed on a black base.
The Takashi Murakami x Cherry Fukuoka collection is available now at Cherry Fukuoka’s website and in-store. Styles are priced at ¥500 JPY (approximately $5 USD) for the sticker, ¥12,800 JPY (approx. $116 USD) for the shirt and ¥19,800 JPY (approx. $180 USD) for the hoodie.
