Entertainment powerhouses Jonah Hill and Spike Jonze are combining their creative energy to create and produce a new project centered about the Beastie Boys, which was announced last week.

Slated to be a live stage show about the iconic group, based off of the 2018 memoir Beastie Boys Book, both Hill and Jonze have already begun capturing live footage for the project. Hill announced the news via his personal Instagram account, sharing a photo of the project’s name alongside Jonze as director. “Absolutely honored to produce this live show with my heroes to tell their story directed by my other hero. Link for tickets to the live shows in bio,” the caption reads.

Hill will produce the filming of the group’s Brooklyn and Philadelphia performances while Jonze will direct. Jonze has worked with the Beastie Boys numerous times in the past, having directed the infamous “Sabotage” music video back in 1994. The famed director also shared tips with Hill for his Mid 90s directorial debut.

Tickets for Beastie Boys Story are still available. Keep it locked here for more details on the project.

For more music news, J. Cole announced his Dreamville Festival line-up which will include SZA, Big Sean, 21 Savage, and more.
