First Look: HYKE x The North Face FW19 Collection
The pair reunites for heavy branding, oversized fleece and more puffy coats.

Perhaps the most in-demand The North Face collaboration of the past few years, HYKE‘s joint efforts with the outdoor brand have drawn immense attention from fans across the globe. For Fall/Winter 2019, the duo rejoin for another array of unisex branded goods, with some of collaborative series’ the most adventurous items to date.
Presented at Amazon Tokyo Fashion Week, HYKE’s latest assortment of The North Face goods reiterates tropes from previous releases, including a muted color palette of neutral beige, navy and black tones. Goods for both men and women hit the runway, including tweaked mountain parkas, slouchy TNF logo pullovers, enormous GORE-TEX coats with fringed zippers and layered trousers to match. One clear standout piece was a shin-length fleece coat with a high collar, apparently transformable into a cropped jacket via the waist-high circumference-encircling zipper.
Accessories ran the gamut from HYKE’s preferred strappy shoes and leggings to fleece legwarmers. Puffy snoods boasted drawstrings for customizable fits, with snap button closure to ensure maximum winter protection. In-line with past collections, utility skirts were layered over trousers, both underlining the collection’s functional inspiration and upending conventional proportions.
Expect a more intimate lookbook for HYKE’s new The North Face collection to hit the duo’s collaborative website later this year.
