Instagram Officially Launches "Checkout" Shopping Service
Debuting on Prada, Dior and Burberry’s pages.
Instagram has unveiled the latest evolution of its shopping service, with a new system that allows you to purchase items without leaving the app at all. Titled “Checkout,” the new service means that you can choose size and color as well as complete payment while still on Instagram.
Once you’ve entered your details — name, email, billing details and shipping address — Instagram will securely save the information for convenience. Updates on shipment and delivery will also be issued through Instagram.
Currently, Instagram has only rolled “Checkout” out to certain brands, with the new function available if you’re looking to purchase from labels including Prada, Dior, Burberry and Uniqlo. Take a look at how it works below.
