Yohji Yamamoto rejoins longtime collaborator adidas for a separate collaboration outside of Y-3. For Yamamoto’s mainline Pour Homme collection, the Japanese designer has recruited the German sportswear giant to craft a new sneaker silhouette, dubbed the “Mid-Belt.” Crafted from canvas and cow leather, the mix-material sneaker sports no less than three methods of closure, including black laces, a rear zipper and three buckled forefoot straps as a nod to the Three Stripes. Offered in red and black, the shoe also features a variety of contrasting “YOHJI YAMAMOTO” embroidery around the upper.

The Mid-Belt sneakers are currently available at Japanese Yamamoto stockists for ¥54,000 JPY (approximately $490 USD), keep an eye out to see if they arrive on the Japanese designer’s web store as well.

Most recently, Yamamoto joined both New Era and Dr. Martens for more collaborative accessories.
