'The Kid' Trailer: Chris Pratt & Ethan Hawke Star in New Billy the Kid-Based Film
Directed by ‘Daredevil’s’ Vincent D’Onofrio.
The Magnificent Seven‘s Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, and Vincent D’Onofrio have reassembled for another Western called The Kid, with D’Onofrio directing. Daredevil‘s Wilson Fisk will direct a different spin of the legendary Billy the Kid tale for Lionsgate, and Dane DeHaan is set to star as the titular outlaw.
The film will follow a young man named Rio (Jake Schur) who’s on an adventure to save his sister from their vicious uncle played by Pratt. As a result, Rio and his family become involved in Hawke’s Pat Garrett in his hunt for Billy the Kid. “Ultimately Rio is forced to choose which type of man he is going to become, the outlaw or the man of valor, and will use this self-realization in a final act to save his family,” according to the film’s official synopsis.
