AWAKE NY and Union LA Team on Black History Month Capsule
Each Union store will offer different color options.
After partnering with Ghetto Gastro on a charitable Black Panther-themed collection, AWAKE NY is now teaming with Union LA to bring on another round of product that pays homage to Black History Month. According to the collaborators, the exclusive capsule is intended to “show solidarity between two POC run streetwear brands with the hope of continuing to generate inspiration and aspiration for our community.”
The assortment includes hoodies and T-shirts that highlight the companies through focal graphics, which are centrally placed on each item. On the front, the phrase “UNION of hearts, keeps love AWAKE” is a play on words that spotlights the names of both labels. Meanwhile, the back of the styles features “UNION” in large block font with “AWAKE” plastered in the middle to reinforce the dual-aesthetic. The pieces are presented in colorways that include vivid hot pink, as well as a crisp white and blue combination. A black version featuring the Pan-African colors of red, gold and green is also among the mix —though each Union LA store will offer different options.
The Awake NY x Union LA hoodie and tee will be available beginning 12 p.m. EST on Friday, February 22 at Awakenyclothing.com and at Union stores worldwide.
