Take a Backstage Look at Palm Angels' Anticipated FW19 Show
Francesco Ragazzi unveils more Recovery Sneakers.

Four years after its debut in Milan, Palm Angels, founded by Francesco Ragazzi, recently took his label to New York Fashion Week to mark a new era for the label. The movement to New York brought an audience full of celebrities revealing the label’s ties to the music and art scene prevalent in the city.
Moving the Fall/Winter 2019 collection showing to the Big Apple, Ragazzi looked to ambitiously take Palm Angels to the next level by reworking some of the label’s established looks with a greater emphasis on “streetwear.” A standout element was the array of Recovery Sneakers put on display, which were defined by sporty-tones, snake print and alternative lacing systems.
Styling associated with hunting and fishing stood as a major inspiration, as an array of camouflage print and netting were sprinkled throughout the range. Choice Après-ski garments dressed with the crests of the Saint Moritz ski club revealed Ragazzi’s association with Moncler and functional snow garms. While traditional tailoring was flipped on its head with tracksuits constructed of suiting textiles. Honoring the label’s strong social media presence, a main graphic element of Palm Angels’ FW19 collection is a “sensitive content” warning motif drawn from the terms and conditions of Instagram.
