maharishi's Latest Capsule Expresses an "East / West Coalition"
Forming an imagined peaceful allegiance.
To honor the 2019 Lunar New Year, maharishi recently created a capsule commemorating the year of the pig. The London-based brand is now back with an official look at its Spring/Summer 2019 capsule, “East / West Coalition.”
The range continues to hone in on the label’s military-centric aesthetic, this time focusing on themes of duality and peace between the Eastern and Western regions of the world. Standing out as the focal piece is the Tour Jacket, which is offered in three colors including olive, black and “blaze orange.” The bomber silhouette is made up of an Italian-made water-resistant coated cotton, and features maharishi’s panther-snake hybrid embroidered across the back. Inspired by the mythological Greek Chimera and the U.S. Air Force’s 460th Division, the maharishi panther illustration is also found on a selection of graphic T-shirts within the assortment. Elsewhere, a “Tigerstripe” camouflage pattern takes shape on button-down shirts and other printed tees.
Priced between £85 and £365 GBP (approximately $110 and $470 USD), the capsule is available now in-store and on maharishi’s website.
