Nike Relaunches Mackenzie Short's Free Run 2.0 "Doernbecher"
“Believe, Hope, Laugh.”
Recently Nike reissued Jacob Burris’ Air Max 95 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of its charitable collaboration with Oregon’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This time around, marking its return is Mackenzie Short’s Free Run 2.0 from 2011.
Donning the sneakers is a cheerful aesthetic, seeing the uppers dressed with a violet tinge while simple floral graphics are printed on the green, glossy midfoot cages. Pink laces are used to match with the purple palette and to top off the look are “Believe Hope Laugh” texts embossed on the turquoise track-ready soles — words that Short would like to motivate future participants with.
Pricing at $100 USD, the Free Run 2 “Doernbecher” will be available for raffle on Nike SNKRS at 10 a.m. EST February 20. Don’t miss out on the drop of these one-of-a-kind sneakers.
