UPDATE: Golden State Warriors & The Shoe Surgeon Tease Custom Air Jordan 1
Limited to just six pairs.

Update: What was previously thought to be an upcoming Golden State Warriors collaboration with Jordan Brand is, in fact, a custom Air Jordan 1 sneaker with The Shoe Surgeon and sneaker boutique Shoe Palace. The custom shoe is reportedly limited to six pairs.
Original Story: The Golden States Warriors and Jordan Brand are reportedly working on a collaborative Air Jordan 1. The timing of the unique shoe is perfect considering the team’s dominant role in the current NBA league.
Thursday night (February 20) the team took to Twitter to tease the upcoming sneaker with a brief video, listing off the team’s six championship-winning seasons while showcasing an Air Jordan 1 silhouette in the Golden State yellow. The official images soon dropped shortly after, showcasing the unique collaboration with a few modifications — including a heel loop, exposed Flywire, a unique lacing system, simultaneously lacking the Jordan Brand’s iconic Wings logo and Jumpman branding.
The sneaker utilizes a majority patent leather-upper in the team’s iconic Blue and Yellow colors, with a white mesh material marking the side panels. The leather tongue patch dons the team’s logo, with “Strength in Numbers” placed alongside the leather cage near the top of the shoe, traditionally where the Wings logo is showcased. Rounding out the shoe on the rear heel portion, embossed text showcases the various championship-winning years of the team.
Checkout the newly revealed sneaker above, and stay tuned as more information regarding this collaborative Air Jordan 1 will likely surface soon.
