G-SHOCK links up with stalwart jazz label Blue Note for an exclusive iteration of the heavy-duty G-STEEL in time for Blue Note’s 80th anniversary. The muted iteration of the classic watch sports an appropriate pop of color in line with the Blue Note name.
This iteration of the G-STEEL, the GSTB100BNR-1A, is executed in matte black for a sleek finish, with blue dial and buckle accents that serve as both a slight contrast and playfully-straightforward nod to Blue Note itself. The label’s logo is embossed onto the rear of the case.
Other features include Bluetooth low energy tech, so as to pair with G-SHOCK’s Connected smartphone app, solar-powered charging, a powerful LED backlight and hands equipped with Neo-Brite for maximum visibility in even the smokiest of jazz clubs. Custom packaging completes the exclusive design.
Watch the collaborative timepiece’s promo video below and stream a special playlist curated by Daddy Kev for the drop via Apple Music or Spotify. The collaborative G-STEEL watch hits G-SHOCK’s website and select stockists in March for $420 USD.
