New 'Aladdin' GRAMMY Spot Finally Reveals Will Smith’s Blue Genie Look
Very blue and very muscular.
Following up some first looks, Disney recently aired a new TV spot for its upcoming Aladdin remake during this year’s Grammys.
Contrary to everything that has released, the new clips reveals that Will Smith‘s live-action adaptation of the mystical Genie will indeed be blue. At the end of the TV spot, we see Aladdin played by Mena Massoud rubbing the iconic lamp to summon a very muscular Genie.
The live-action Aladdin film is directed by Guy Ritchie, written by John August and produced by Dan Lin who have all come together to create an “ambitious and non-traditional” take on the classic. Aladdin is set to be the second of three remakes Disney has planned for 2019.
Watch Disney’s Aladdin GRAMMY TV spot above and look for the remake to hit theaters May 24.
In case you missed it, DC Comics and Warner Bros. has plans for a “horror-tinged” Aquaman spinoff.
