Evian Unveils First Virgil Abloh-Designed Water Bottle
Alongside water filtration company Soma.
Following their partnership announcement in December, water purveyor Evian and designer Virgil Abloh unveil their first collaborative item: a custom refillable glass water bottle by water filtration company Soma.
Taking on the title of Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design, Abloh takes Soma’s already customizable glass water bottle with soft silicone sleeve and natural bamboo cap, and tags “RAINBOW INSIDE” up the front. As the below Instagram post mentions, the limited-edition bottle will be available soon, exclusively on MATCHESFASHION.com.
Evian hopes to become a “fully circular brand,” making all of its plastic bottles from 100% recycled plastic by 2025. To do so, it’s banking on rockstars of today, like Abloh, to reverse the trend of unecessary plastic consumption. “Evian is an iconic brand with a strong heritage in fashion and creativity,” said Abloh. “Its sustainability ambitions align with my own, together we can push boundaries and explore new areas of evolution, paving a better future for generations.”
