ADISH Presents Its "Sea of Sand" FW19 Lookbook
Inspired by the Bedouin tribes of the Middle East.
ADISH opens up the history books for its latest Fall/Winter 2019 “Sea of Sand” lookbook. The lookbook takes us back to a time before the existence of all the “tension and conflict” in the Middle East; to a time when the counties of today did not exist and to a time when the area was considered “Greater Syria.”
ADISH looks to the Bedouin tribes of the desert, yet at the same time, mixes details of British military uniforms in with the traditional textiles. The collection tells of the early interactions between European colonists and the local people — it’s a mixture of Middle Eastern styles with Western influence.
While the collection takes on a casual and simple approach, details like the extra-wide panting, heavy embroidery and tailored shirting help elevate each ensemble.
Photoed in Lakiya, Israel, the entire lookbook can be viewed above. In other fashion news, BEAMS BOY joins Columbia in its latest capsule collection.
