Tyga Dons a Zoot Suit in 'The Mask'-Inspired Visual for "Ayy Macarena"
Closing out his comeback year.
Tyga is capping off his comeback year with an absurd new visual for his recent single, “Ayy Macarena.” Channeling Jim Carrey’s iconic 1994 film The Mask, the visual sees Tyga emulating Stanley Ipkiss as he dawns a banana-colored zoot suit in a 1940s styled nightclub. Atop of revisiting the alter-ego of Carrey’s character, Tyga also takes on the role of a high-profile gangster as he makes his enemies dance.
Over the past year, Tyga has resurrected himself to his former claim as one of hip-hop’s top hit-makers. This year he released his feature-packed Legendary album — which included “Taste” alongside Offset and “Dip” featuring Nicki Minaj — as well as lending his prowess on a variety of features. In October, the former Young Money artist inked a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records, so expect to hear a lot from the Compton artist in 2020.
