Acne Studios has tapped the archive of gothic subculture magazine Propaganda for a new capsule collection titled after the renowned publication. Part of the Scandinavian brand’s SS20 product rollout, the womenswear collection focuses on founder/photographer Fred H. Berger’s photos that explore the subculture’s fashion, sexuality, music, art, and literature. Through the magazine’s 20 year history up until its dissolution in 2002, Berger helped in promulgating the magazine’s legacy by highlighting androgynous male models that captured the eerie and macabre aesthetics of goth.

For the collection, Acne Studios has highlighted a variety of the magazine’s covers, typography, and in-publication imagery, screenprinting them on a range of garments including T-shirts and button-ups to accessories such as wallets and glasses. Highlights specifically include a brown silk-like transparent button-up shirt that features a hazy graphic throughout, as well as a pair of washed denim that’s emblazoned with a contrasting photograph in dark indigo.

You can check out Acne Studios entire “Propaganda” capsule collection above. All pieces will be available via Acne Studio’s webstore and flagships from December 19, with prices ranging from $180 to $540 USD.
