Terrace Martin Expels on the Troubles of Love in Single & Visual "Beige"
Featuring Elena Pinderhughes and Arin Ray.
Grammy-nominated rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Terrace Martin is closing out a riotous decade with the release of a new loose single and video titled “Beige.” Atop of offering up his soulful sound to Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Snoop Dogg, YG, Ab-Soul, and Travis Scott throughout the 2010s, Martin has continued to put out a variety of solo works that have strengthened his Jazz-heavy sound. Earlier this year he gave fans his Northside of Linden, Westside of Slauson EP alongside Salaam Remi, seemingly gearing up for his forthcoming album with a variety of new material.
Tapping Elena Pinderhughes and Arin Ray, “Beige” continues to evoke Martin’s funky sonics, further offering a promising look of what’s to come from the artist. As laidback snares and groovy synth chords mandate the track’s backdrop, both Ray and Pinderhughes exude their R&B prowess as they speak on the troubles of love and communication. Pinderhughes also offers up a hint of her flute talents throughout. The visual exudes many of these characteristics as a couple sits at a restaurant table, captivated by their phones as they refuse to speak to one another.
