SwaVay Details a Chaotic Atlanta in Visual for "Dog Food"

Sole Boominati Worldwide signee SwaVay recently kicked off the end of 2019 with his heat-filled Pure Pack EP. Following closely in the footsteps of Metro Boomin’s ingenuity, the new-gen Atlanta artist has been breaking the mold of the locale’s archetypal sound. He’s gained immense momentum over the past year, collaborating alongside James Blake, lending his production abilities to Offset’s debut Father of 4 album, and was featured on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack in late 2018. Now he’s followed up his recent EP with a cinematic visual for standout single “Dog Food.”
The clip shows SwaVay reflecting on Atlanta’s chaotic atmosphere, with a portion of the video depicting a shooting. He continues in flexing his riches, with the closeout scene showcasing a news broadcast detailing his arrest for narcotics.
Recently SwaVay said to Billboard that “this is one of the quickest songs I’ve ever made…we played the f*ck out of this song for like 10 days straight.” He continued in sharing his thoughts on the visual, noting that the “concept behind the ‘Dog Food’ video is basically my adolescence, realizing who I am, and also realizing some of the things that aren’t for me.”
