Stüssy & Dr. Martens Reunite for Reengineered 8053 HY
Equipped with new “Wintergrip” technology.
Stüssy and Dr. Martens have reunited for a new collaboration, following last year’s Penton Loafer capsule with a set of 8053 HYs, a tweaked version of Dr. Martens’ classic 8053 silhouette that’s been reengineered through Stüssy’s aesthetic lens.
Coming in brown and black, the shoes see a rugged hiking-inspired build made up of protective Snowplow leather, a water-resistant material that repels grit and salt. The shoes come with padded upper collars, complemented by a reinforced double-stitched heel counter and vamp below. Its silver-toned eyelets come with thin black rope laces, while a small co-branded tab is placed at the side of the throat line. All of these details sit atop a new hybridized PVC-rubber midsole called the “Wintergrip,” featuring open slots that enable debris cleaning and offer extra traction over cold winter surfaces.
The Stüssy x Dr. Martens 8053 HYs will be available on December 13 at both stussy.com and drmartens.com for approximately $250 USD.
Elsewhere, PLEASURES and Joy Division have unveiled an ultra-exclusive Converse Chuck 70s release.
