adidas Originals & Arsenal Release Retro-Inspired "Bruised Banana" Collection
Featuring a like-for-like recreation of the iconic kit.
After reviving the kit for this season’s away jersey, adidas Originals and Arsenal have now launched a retro capsule featuring the iconic “Bruised Banana” shirt. Alongside the famous jersey, the collection also features a crewneck, tracksuit top and trousers, all inspired by the early 1990s era of Arsenal apparel.
The stand-out piece is undoubtedly the jersey, which features the original trefoil logo and Arsenal badge. Additionally, the jersey comes with short sleeves and a V-neck design, making it a like-for-like remake of the original away shirt, worn by Arsenal from 1991 until 1993.
Rounding out the collection is a number of pieces inspired by the early ’90s training gear, including the Trefoil Crewneck Sweatshirt, two Track Tops and a set of tracksuit bottoms. All of these pieces come in a red and navy blue color palette.
Take a look at the capsule in the gallery above. The full Arsenal x adidas Originals “Bruised Banana” capsule will release on December 11 at adidas locations and online.
In other adidas news, the brand recently linked up with lifestyle publication Monocle for a new release.
