Rising London-based label Hidden Mangroves has ended its year with the “School for the Gifted” collection, which is spotlighted in a lookbook that explores its London roots and ties with Tokyo, Japan.
Throughout “School for the Gifted,” Hidden Mangroves has developed graphics that symbolize unity — something that is at the core of the brands’ ethos — as well as pieces that, “represent a comradery between those who aspire to venture beyond the rigidity of established institutions,” as the brand says in a press release.
As a result, the collection includes a T-shirt depicting two cartoon dogs stuck together with the phrases “STUCK 2 U” surrounding it, as well as a print that reimagines Hidden Mangroves-lead school trips. Rounding out the collection of heavy 12oz cotton hoodies and ’70s psychedelia-tinged T-shirts is the use of the imprint’s moniker, which has been monochromatically embroidered throughout the collection’s hoodies alongside its signature branding printed on the rear of tops.
In other news, the Supreme Bandana Box Logo Hooded Sweatshirt is dropping this week.
