Just ahead of the holidays, NOAH has released two festive NYC-themed T-shirts, each featuring artwork from the late Keith Haring. Even though Haring was born in Pennsylvania, NOAH (along with many in the art world) considers Haring’s influence on the NYC art scene to be nothing less than iconic. Haring’s lasting mark on NYC led the brand to select his art to offer a holiday greeting to the city that never sleeps.
A short-sleeve and long-sleeve T-shirt featuring Haring’s art are currently available. The short-sleeve comes in only black, and the long-sleeve is only offered in navy. Both T-shirts feature the same white-outlined artwork, which depicts a group of Harings’ famous figures dancing below the phrase “Merry Christmas New York City.” The text is written in uneven block lettering, and the whole images is housed within a vertical rectangle.
Along with the collection, NOAH reveals statistics that one in five New Yorkers live in poverty and over 40% are at or near the poverty line. In continuation of NOAH’s environmental and philanthropic efforts, all proceeds of these T-shirts will be donated to New York Cares, a 32-year-old volunteer organization that benefits those in need in the areas of Education, Immediate Needs and Public Spaces.
Elsewhere in fashion, BAPE has unveiled its full ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ capsule collection.
