New Balance OMN1S "Money Stacks" Is All About the Benjamins
The currency-centric style is the final OMN1S to release in 2019.
Sending 2019 off with a final flourish, New Balance has prepared Kawhi Leonard‘s popular OMN1S in a new “Money Stacks” colorway. The currency-centric style provides an interesting nod to the quiet superstar: it’s fittingly all about the money, as Kawhi signed a $103 million USD deal with the Los Angeles Clippers this past offseason. However, wealth is reflected in a subdued style that uses recognizable colors instead of opulent details.
Drawing its hues from the almighty dollar, the latest style of Kawhi’s signature shoe features a mixture of green, grey and tan tones atop its woven upper. These shades are presented in appealing fashion, thanks to a digital gradient fade that runs from the toebox to the midfoot and a special print on the collar’s “N” logo. Similarly, the tan midfoot strap is a nod to the rubber bands that often encircle giant stacks of cash -— a concept reportedly put forth by the Klaw himself during a design meeting.
Two-tone green/tan midsoles and a gum outsole with a large NB hit finalize the look. The shoes are crafted to play like a million bucks as well, with flexible-yet supportive FitWeave uppers and a cushioning setup that calls upon FuelCell technology for both elevated comfort and response.
The New Balance OMN1S “Money Stacks” is the 7th and final OMN1S colorway to release in 2019 and will arrive at the New Balance web store and select retailers on December 26 for $140 USD.
Elsewhere in the world of signature shoes, Odell Beckham Jr‘s Nike Air Max 720 OBJ is releasing in a LSU Tigers-inspired colorway.
