Second 'The Gentlemen' Trailer Is Full of Guy Ritchie's Signature Antics
One of the best UK movies to look out for in 2020.
Following a divisive live-action adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin, director Guy Ritchie has decided to return to his signature gritty crime-comedy genre — which helped to kickstart his directing career — with his upcoming project The Gentlemen.
Having released the first trailer earlier this fall, the film’s second visual offering spotlights Matthew McConaughey as Mickey Pearson, an American expat in London who is running a very successful weed-selling operation. Word soon breaks out that Mickey wants to cash out, therefore causing rogues around the city to try to usurp his territory. Just like Ritchie’s past films, The Gentlemen is full of fast talking, schemes, blackmail and so much more.
Along with McConaughey, the film boasts some stellar performances from A-list talents Charlie Hunnam, Jeremy Strong, Colin Farrell, and more. Those who love Ritchie’s past hits, such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, will be sure to enjoy his forthcoming project.
The Gentlemen arrives in theaters January 24, 2020.
