Back in June, goers of Paris Fashion Week were able to catch a close glimpse of Maison Mihara Yasuhiro‘s SS20 lineup of chunky OG Sole Sneakers. Dropped just before the new year, three new iterations have been unveiled — colorways “Black,” “White” and “Multi.”
The “black” and “white” iterations come with thick contrasting piping along the seams, boldly set against its monochromatic base. At the top of the silhouette, “MMY” branding is stitched at the tongue, followed by thick flat laces that match the shade of the eyelets. The body comes in a textured canvas material, offset by a tonal rubber toe cap. As a finishing note, both colorways feature a thick, wonky midsole made up of squiggly foxing and a quirky mold that looks as if it’s melting. The “Multi” colorway is a striking counterpart to the monochromatic colorways. A blue tongue is placed next to yellow and pumpkin-toned eyelet panels, followed by burgundy at the lateral sidewalls and orange at the medial. Other panels on the shoe appear in red, white and teal, while subtle details like a rubber “MMY” heel stamp and a large waffle outsole round up the design.
All three Maison Mihara Yasuhiro OG Sole Sneakers are currently available at atmos’ website for $275 USD.
