Guapdad 4000 Recruits Snoop Dogg for Official "Flossin" Remix
The Oakland artist delivers his first major release since ‘Dior Deposits.’
Guapdad 4000 has had a great year, to say the least. From star-studded studio albums to high-profile features, the 27-year-old California artist has racked up plenty of accomplishments in 2019, cementing his spot at the forefront of northern California’s new-school hip-hop movement. Now, with his career’s biggest year yet coming to a close, Guapdad 4000 is teaming up with one of his region’s greatest legends and most recognizable household names, Snoop Dogg, for the official remix of “Flossin.” Produced by James Delgado, “Flossin” was originally released during June of this year and shines a spotlight on its creator’s never-ending paper chase.
“The best thing I learned is I’m as tight as I think I am,” Guapdad 4000 told Billboard</em> back in October, opening up about what he gained from working with the Dreamville crew during the creation of their group project Revenge of the Dreamers III. “It comes from being in the room with other n***as who were really that good. I was bringin’ it regardless, but it was fun to bring it while other people were bringin’ it, but those people already got their accolades. I’m a new driver on the race track going against n***as who already got their Cup titles. I’m not only keeping up with them, I’m winning some of the races. But my focus wasn’t on that, it was more about making great records.”
