Eric Emanuel and BAPE Release Basketball Shorts Capsule
Celebrating the opening of BAPE’s Miami flagship.
New York-based designer Eric Emanuel and BAPE have teamed up a limited run of bold basketball shorts. Growing up in upstate New York, the sportswear designer remembers making the BAPE store his first stop on day trips to NYC, making this collaboration especially meaningful.
The capsule includes a trio of brown, purple and white colorways. A pattern of BAPESTA’s lighting logo is featured throughout the design, while Emanuel’s signature double “E” logo patches are emblazoned on the front. The surprise release will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 and coincides with BAPE’s flagship store opening in Miami’s Design District. The new location will also kick off with an exclusive collection paying homage to the vibrant city.
