BAPE Teases BAPESTA's 20th Anniversary Colorways
Some classic makeups accompanied by bold animal prints.
Since its introduction in 2000, the BAPESTA has anchored BAPE‘s expansive range of streetwear essentials, a covetable collectible that single-handedly introduced countless converts to the Japanese brand’s dynamic approach to street-friendly styling. Just ahead of 2020, BAPE took to Instagram to announce a series of 20th anniversary celebrations for its flagship footwear model.
Classic tonal black and white iterations of the BAPESTA are set to kick off a series of releases, reinforcing the silhouette’s timeless nature with a new mold that’s faithful to the shoe’s original shape. Leopard and zebra prints are also on hand, boasting plush fur uppers and black and white midsoles, respectively. The boldest BAPESTA on hand is a multi-colored affair that juxtaposes white accents against various panels of leopard and zebra print, along with another textural addition for further contrast. Along with the forthcoming colorways seen above, expect BAPE to roll out a bevy of collaborative sneakers in 2020.
