As the countdown to the final days of 2019 begins, Y-3 has presented a new BOOST-equipped silhouette dubbed the Rhisu Run. The latest design from the long partnership between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, the Rhisu Run presents a sleek look that’s equal parts performance and lifestyle.
Arriving in three colorways — a stark white and black with copper-colored accents, a stealthy all black and an airy white with faint grey hits — the Rhisu Run offers a great deal of layered detailing for how streamlined its overall look is. The upper is constructed of an athletic mesh, under which lies heel and forefoot accents plus adidas’s ubiquitous Three Stripe motif. All of this is then overlaid by a supple leather mudguard with a wavy shape and a soft suede heel piece with Y-3 branding. A single rope lace wraps around the bottom of the throat and snakes across the heel for further texture.
Down below, a low-slung BOOST midsole that’s somewhat similar in shape to the UltraBOOST provides soft and streamlined cushioning. A signature Continental rubber outsole with traction discs finalizes the stylings.
All three of these Rhisu Runs will release on December 5 at retailers like BSTN. The price of each pair is set at €300 EUR (approximately $332 USD).
