adidas has released two new luxurious iterations of its esteemed UltraBOOST in “Ftwr White” and “Core Black” leather. The leather encompasses the sneaker’s entire upper, reworking everything from the Three Stripes-adorned cage to the detailing on the tongue.
Leather was originally introduced to the UltraBOOST during the J&D pack — a now highly sought-after 1.0 iteration of the running shoe. Here, adidas’ leather offerings combine premium materials with performance, as the shoes are paired with a tonal BOOST sole unit.
While these pairs lose their Primeknit upper, the detailing has been kept in areas such as the toe box by adding an overlaying panel of leather and embossing the vamp with a padded-like component. Elsewhere around the sneakers, you’ll find tonal embroidered Three Stripes, debossed UltraBOOST branding on the rear-quarter heel cup and a full leather lining.
