YBN Cordae & Pusha T Take us to a Haunted Mansion for "Nightmares Are Real" Video
The latest visual in support of Cordae’s ‘The Lost Boy’ LP.
Exactly one month after reconnecting with Anderson .Paak for the official music video in support of their Lost Boy track “RNP,” YBN Cordae is unveiling another new visual for one of his recent LP’s high-profile collaborative cuts.. This time around, Cordae presents an APLUS-directed clip for the Pusha T-assisted “Nightmares Are Real,” staying true to the theme of the song and the darker leanings of its title by taking viewers to a “haunted mansion” setting for its video.
“I just wanted to express myself and be vulnerable. That’s just what I found myself doing, just being a vulnerable artist, person and human being … I’m just expressing myself and being more vulnerable. It’s like just speaking my truths,” YBN Cordae shared with Billboard earlier this year, opening up about the lyrical content of the records featured on The Lost Boy.
“Soon as I did ‘Nightmares Are Real,’ I was like, ‘Pusha T would be crazy on this.’ Then, he sent me the verse the same day I sent it to him. So I was like, ‘Oh, this is a fucking blessing.’ I got a f*cking God MC on my shit, so it’s really dope,” Cordae adds, revealing the origins of “Nightmares Are Real.” “For Pusha, I sent that to him with an open verse.”
Cordae will be embarking on The Lost Boy in America Tour starting January 2020, kicking off 30-date tour in Seattle and making appearances in areas like Vancouver, Sacramento, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Atlanta.
