Tinashe & 6LACK Connect for New Track, "Touch & Go"
Off her forthcoming project, ‘Songs for You.’

Tinashe is enjoying her creative freedom as she drops “Touch & Go,” the 6LACK-assisted single off Songs for You, her first project since leaving RCA Records in early 2019. The R&B duet follows the 26-year-old’s collaboration with Ms. Banks entitled “Die a Little Bit” and sees the singer-songwriter returning to her roots, offering a formulaic yet authentic feel to her take on the genre.
Tinashe split with RCA in February 2019 after getting signed in 2012. Throughout her time with the major label, she released her debut studio album Aquarius in 2014, the Nightride mixtape in 2016 and finally JOYRIDE in 2018. Contrary to reports circulating on the internet, manager Mike Nazzaro reaffirms that she wasn’t dropped by the label. “We initiated for her to be released. It was a positive split for her. It’s giving her back creative control,” he explained.
