UPDATE: Check out the recently released Jon Primo-directed video for “Flick It Up” above. Most of the video takes place outside and sometimes on the roof of a liquor store strip mall with a crowd of people surrounding the Carson, Cali duo. The video ends with several online videos of folks attempting to attend the recording of the music video, including a couple of radio stations promoting the upcoming visuals on social media.

ORIGINAL STORY: Directly following the release of his latest solo record “Same Ol Shit,” Reason is teaming up with Ab-Soul for a new collaborative single, “Flick It Up.” Although this new release doesn’t appear to be attached to any specific rollout, it’s definitely a strong-enough record to showcase both artists’ skillsets.

“Joining TDE comes with a lot of pressure. It’s really dope to be the new person at such a great team. It’s like joining the Lakers when you’re the new guy. You’re excited but after 10 games into the season, you see what all that comes with,” Reason told Billboard during a 2018 interview. “It’s all fun and games until you’re on the court and see the banners. You have to step up, hit these goals and prove yourself. We have some incredible artists on the label and it’s a very “earn your stripes” type of label. If you’re not bringing it, you can easily be pushed to the back. It’s really about who can stay on the label’s mind and not only impress the world, but you have to impress everyone on the label. K Dot, Q, everybody.”

You can check out Reason and Ab-Soul’s new collaboration and single “Flick It Up” below.
