After releasing a series of limited edition graphic T-shirts at a pop-up store in Los Angeles, Jakarta-based imprint Elhaus returns with a new lookbook for Fall/Winter 2019. Titled “Sound of Dust,” the collection finds the connection between different cultures and ages, using materials such as duck, indigo and boro fabric, along with new age elements, like nylon and duraflex quick-release hardware. Elhaus incorporates timeless design elements from across different ages to bring back “the chaotic, forgotten past, into a new, bright future.”
The brand’s graphic-heavy T-shirts, long sleeves and hoodies sport “Elhaus” branding, as well as graphics that reference the spirit of the ‘Old West.’ Short sleeve shirts boast geometric designs, classic stripes and a “Cowboys and Indians” print. The collection’s stand-out pieces are found in the outerwear: a “Vagabond Jacket” features technical upgrades in its acetal hardware and YKK metaluxe zippers, while its utilitarian counterpart sports multiple corduroy pockets and a large pouch on its back. Elsewhere, the “Ground Jacket” is constructed with a water repellent duck fabric and lined with frog skin camouflage.
