Jakarta-based label Elhaus has announced a pop-up store in Los Angeles on August 17, coincidentally falling on the same day as Indonesia’s Independence Day. Hosted at Virgil Normal in Los Angeles, Elhaus will release a series of limited edition graphic T-shirts, with a selection from Jakarta-based artist Dwiky as well.
The graphics on the T-shirts center around themes of maturation and progression, representing the history of Elhaus as a brand. T-shirts come in black and white colorways, with long sleeves also available in black. Graphics include cobweb prints and references of the Earth, Moon and solar system, complete with Elhaus branding. Text plays around with the idea of time, with one T-shirt reading “Yesterday today was tomorrow and tomorrow today will be yesterday” on the back. Graphics and text come together to create a forward-thinking series of T-shirts that also acknowledge the importance of the past in shaping the future.
The pop-up will launch at Virgil Normal on August 17. Check out Elhaus’s website for more information on the brand’s latest collections.
