GIPHY has reinstalled GIFs of the adorable Baby Yoda character from Disney+’s The Mandalorian following a review of their use regarding copyright issues.

The Child — aka Baby Yoda — is one of the most popular stars of the new Disney+ show, and has since become an internet-wide sensation appearing in many GIFs. These short, transformative animations were snippets taken from the film, and GIPHY had recently removed them from its server while it “reviewed the situation” surrounding copyright confusion.

GIPHY confirmed this in a statement to the BBC, in which it added that Disney+ was not responsible for their suspension. Today, the GIFs have returned and can be used, and while these are not Disney+’s own official GIFs from its dedicated GIPHY channel, it shows that the platform is in no rush to remove or halt the use of unofficial ones from The Mandalorian.

In other news, classic Nickelodeon titles could land on CBS All Access.
