QUIN & 6LACK Debut New Video for 'LUCID' Collab "Mushroom Chocolate"
QUIN also serves up her third studio project.
Talented singer-songwriter QUIN is serving up her third studio project LUCID. Billed as QUIN’s own tale of “evolved love,” LUCID features seven new tracks, including two separate collaborative cuts with 6LACK. To promote and support the aforementioned EP, the soulful songstress is introducing the official music video for one of LUCID‘s 6LACK collaborations, “Mushroom Chocolate.”
“‘Mushroom Chocolate ‘is all about that love that fit just right. And it’s so good sometimes you gotta just keep it cool,” QUIN tells us. “I wanted to make sure I kept the visual within the family so it would be easy to brainstorm together so i got up with my sister Brilliant Garcia. We just wanted to create a dreamworld that represented our reality so we played dress up and made it happen.”
“The ‘Mushroom Chocolate’ video consists of the both of us in a series of different outside settings,” 6LACK shares in his own exclusive statement. “We flip between a few different places, and that gives us clear head on shots, with hard natural lighting. Our setting isn’t much of an anchor, in that, our performances are what stand out and display our personalities. The way these scenes were shot, give us individuality, even in appearing next to each other.”
“LUCID is all about a dreamgirl doing earthwork,” QUIN adds, breaking down her latest EP as well. “It’s my favorite state of mind. It’s that present moment when you realize you’re limitless and capable of fusing your dreamworlds into your realities; that moment you understand you’re dreaming and everything is possible. It’s a love story to self, and within that love story, over time, space was created for a true healthy love to be experienced. That was the main influence in this story; just real good meant to be, is this really real type love.”
