Megan Thee Stallion and VickeeLo Light Up New Orleans in "Ride or Die" Video
The single hails from the ‘Queen & Slim’ soundtrack.
After sharing their single “Ride or Die” from the Queen & Slim soundtrack last month, Megan Thee Stallion and VickeeLo have now released the official video for the song. The two musicians lead a bustling troupe of women of color throughout the visual, taking to the streets of New Orleans and Los Angeles to “bend it, buss it open” all across the town.
Cam Busby directed the video and James Sibio served as the executive producer on the spot. Megan is seen sporting glamorous fits as she dances and drops off a round of confident bars, explaining how she’s not shy because she’s “been that b*tch.” Meanwhile, the rapper is supported with ad-libs and a “bend it, buss it open” chorus provided by VickeeLo, a New Orleans-bred bounce artist. Queen & Slim is a racially-tinged love story written by Lena Waithe and directed by Melina Matsoukas. The highly-anticipated film is slated to hit theaters on November 27.
Recently, Vince Staples, 6LACK and Mereba came together for their own record on the soundtrack, dropping off “Yo Love” earlier this week.
