Nike Gives the VaporMax Plus an Earthy "Baroque Brown" Makeover
A seasonally appropriate colorway for the sporty hybrid silhouette.

Nike‘s popular VaporMax Plus is deviating from its usual bright-hued styles with an earthy new “Baroque Brown” makeup. A modernized take on the classic Air Max Plus from 1998 complete with a modern-day VaporMax sole, this iteration offers a seasonally-appropriate look with its mix of bold tones.
The textured neoprene upper features a gradient fade, starting as a dark brown on the top half before gradually giving way to a military-style olive green directly above the midsole. Brown nubuck hits the heel overlay and olive green plastic adorns the toe cap, while the translucent midfoot cage is coated in cool blue, making for a unique contrast with its dark base.
Down below, a brown Cushlon midsole provides a buffer between the upper and the partially translucent root beer brown VaporMax cushioning unit, which stretches from heel to toe. Modified Air Max Plus heel badges in yellow finalize the look.
The Nike VaporMax Plus “Baroque Brown” is available now at retailers like Sivasdescalzo for $190 USD.
Elsewhere in the world of Nike Sportswear, the brand recently teamed up with Foot Locker for an extensive “Evolution of the Swoosh” collection, made up of five different capsules that tell the graphic’s story in a different fashion.
