New Balance keeps the premium footwear drops coming, following up its 860 V2 with a set of new limited-edition releases — the MSX-Racers from the “CORDURA PACK”. The sneakers have been reconstructed, blending different parts of archival silhouettes, like the “99X,” with modern hi-tech details.

The “CORDURA PACK” features three distinctive colorways of the MSX-RACER — “TRE,” “TRF” and “TRG” — rendered in such palettes as royal blue, teal and purple. Mixing a blend of premium fabrics like suede, mesh and rubber, the sneakers come with highly technical uppers, contrasted against delicate suede mudguards. At the top, the tongue is stamped with “X-RACER” branding, followed by tonal webbing that covers the forefoot and heel. The sidewalls come with the iconic “N” behind a breathable mesh base, while sleek black piping surrounds the top edges of the mudguards. Below the uppers is a crisp white ABZORB foundation, equipped with colored EVA inserts. As a finishing note, other details like “CORDURA” branding and the rubber “NB” patch logo at the heel round up the design.

The New Balance MSX-RACER “CORDURA PACK” is currently available at mita-sneakers.co.jp, with each pair priced at $127 USD.

Elsewhere, Nike has unveiled its weatherized GORE-TEX React Type GTX.
