Dubbed “Hand Wash Cold,” the silhouette has been fashioned from premium materials including smoothened nubucks, supple leathers and buttery suedes, and utilizing a color palette of greys and dark blacks. The collaborative model is then elevated with hits of contrasting blue outlining the upper’s panels, mis-matching blue and red dubraes, and finally iridescent hardware. Additionally each pair is individually numbered (out of 5,914 for the high and 5,269 for the low).
On the team up, James Whitner of the Whitaker Group shared, “The shoe tells a story of giving and giving back. Everything luxury should be taken care of, and lives in communities are delicate.” He continued, “The AF1 was our choice of shoe before we found luxury. We have to put a luxury expression on it, but do it in a way that feels uniquely ours. I wanted the shoe to look like it fits next to the brands in A Ma Maniére, but still feels natural and true to Air Force 1.”
The A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Force 1 “Hand Wash Cold” will be available in both low and high-top iterations and limited to just 5,269 of the former and 5,914 of the latter. Look for the sneaker to drop via Nike’s SNKRS app and all A Ma Maniére boutiques starting December 7. The low will also be available at select stores across the U.S. and Canada including: Social Status, APB, Concepts, Bodega, Creme, Shoe Gallery, UNKNWN, Trophy Room, Politics, Xhibition, Corporate, Oneness, Rooted, Sole Classics, Undefeated, Bait, Darkside Initiative, Feature, Likelihood, Livestock, Xclucity, and HAVEN.
