Tame Impala Drops Single "It Might Be Time," Shares Album Release Date
The latest song from the long-awaited new project, ‘The Slow Rush.’
Just days after teasing the forthcoming album, The Slow Rush, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker has now shared the project’s newest single, “It Might Be Time.” The expected release window has also been unveiled for the long-awaited LP, which is slated to become available starting on February, 14 2020 via Interscope/Fiction records.
“It Might Be Time” rekindles the psychedelic combination of instruments and sounds that Tame Impala has come to be known for. With lyrics like “You ain’t as young as you used to be” and “You ain’t as cool as you used to be,” the musician ponders the changes of life and how it just might be “time to face it.” The track is the first single to be released since April’s “Borderline” record, which is also expected to be on the new album. Listen to it now in the video above.
The Slow Rush follows behind Tame Impala’s third studio album, Currents, which debuted in July of 2015. Though it’s been over four years since releasing a full-length project, the band has made appearances at festivals like Coachella, Austin City Limits and more.
Elsewhere in music, Xavier Omär and Sango reunited last week on Moments Spent Loving You.
