Nike Unveils Customizable Sneakers With Pendleton By You
Heritage meets sporty.
Nike has launched Pendleton By You, the latest lineup of customizable sneakers built with delicate fabrics from Pendleton’s historic woolen mills.
Based in Portland, Oregon, Pendleton is an American textile company that has been known for manufacturing blankets, apparel and a variety of other woolen goods since 1863. Honoring Pendleton’s rich heritage, Nike has rostered its Air Force 1 Low, React Element 55, Air Max 90 and Air Max 270 React to the list of optional silhouettes for customization. From the choice of using classic herringbone patterns to bold plaids, or solid colored wool to textured leather, a myriad of design combinations are available. Out of all the materials, the series includes three distinctive fabric patterns: A warm orange and grey herringbone pattern, blue and black plaid and intricate burgundy Swoosh logos. Other details like the “Pendleton”-branaded insoles and customizable tongue tabs round up the collaborative range.
