Nike's Latest Air Force 1 "What The" Pays Homage to the Big Apple
And the city’s various sports franchises.

Nike‘s latest “What The” alteration this time manifests itself as an Air Force 1 Low paying homage to New York City.
Aptly dubbed “What the NY,” the vibrant mixed-and-matched iteration has been crafted from various materials and colors that represent the Big Apple. On the back of the heels, the left shoe features an orange synthetic rubber basketball print, while the right takes on a teal hue reminiscent of the Stature of Liberty. The sneakers go on to spotlight the city’s major sports teams including the Knicks, Nets, Liberty, Giants, Jets, Yankees, Mets, Islanders, Rangers, Sabres, FC, and Red Bulls using materials such as leather, suede and denim. Additionally “New York” has been emblazoned on the lateral heel and insole of each shoe, while contrasting black and white midsoles complete the overall look.
Interested fans will be able to purchase the Nike Air Force 1 Low “What The NY” when they drop on Thursday, October 17 at select Nike retailers and the SNKRS app for $130 USD.
