Browns Introduces Conscious Collection With LVMH-Nominee Duran Lantink
Alongside an edit featuring Rick Ownes, Bode, By Walid and more.

British high-end retailer Browns has launched a new Conscious category in which it will bring designers that “integrate the circular economy into their business and work with sustainable materials.”
To introduce the new sustainable category, Browns has worked with LVMH-nominee Duran Lantink for its first Conscious collection. Working with Browns, Lantink went to the retailer’s warehouse to curate a selection of past-season pieces that he chose to rework into entirely new pieces, creating bespoke garments that encourage a circular fashion economy.
The pieces from Lantink can be seen above, and the Dutch designer has also been spotlighting in a three-part documentary that centers on the message of consciousness which begins Browns’ conversation on its sustainable values that have been fed into its new concept retail spaces. All 45 of Lantink’s menswear and womenswear pieces are available online and at Browns East alongside an all-new installation.
Browns has also captured brands such as 78 Stitches, Bethany Williams, Bode, By Walid and Rick Owens x Veja, all of which will form a part of its new Conscious category. The lookbook was shot by its in-house editorial team and be viewed online. The retailer will continue its sustainable efforts with episode two, which is set to launch in 2020, and will feature NYC next-generation talent Collina Strada.
The third installment will explore Browns’ collaboration with The Bear Scouts, an organization that ensures products are produced in a sustainable and ethical way throughout the fashion industry’s supply chain. Take a look at Lantink’s pieces in the gallery above and shop the edit in-store and online now.
In other news, Browns has announced it will bring a new pop-up store to an abandoned supermarket in Berlin.
