New Balance Signs on BEAMS & mita sneakers for CMT580 "Sedona Sage"
Featuring a protective lace guard.
New Balance has teamed up with BEAMS & mita sneakers for a muted rendition of its classic 580 silhouette. Dubbed CMT580, this particular pair of sneakers riffs on the classic MT580, released back in 1996, updating the model with a series of new textiles and functional add-ons.
The sneaker is doused in “Sedona Sage,” and can be seen on the tonal panels of batted nylon, lush suede and rubber. One distinctive highlight is a detachable lace guard that covers the upper forefoot. The piece comes with a front zipper, complemented with debossed “BEAMS” branding at the side in a militaristic font. At the sidewalls, New Balance’s “N” logo is outlined in black, followed by thin piping below along the mudguards. All of these details sit atop a full-length ABZORB midsole that offers optimal shock absorption, while a textured PU insole provides added comfort.
