'House of the Dead' Remakes Have Been Officially Confirmed
Two light gun classics being modernized.

After rumors surfaced last month suggesting the classic light gun shooters will be remade, Forever Entertainment has now confirmed that both House of the Dead and House of the Dead 2 will indeed be getting the remake treatment. This has been made possible thanks to a deal signed between Sega and Forever Entertainment — which is also making the Panzer Dragoon 1 & 2 remake — working alongside MegaPixel Studio. According to reports, the game will be remade with “new graphics adapted to modern standards and slightly modified gameplay.”
House of the Dead 1 and 2 were originally released in arcades back in 1996 and 1998 respectively, and utilized light guns for an immersive shooter experience. Sega eventually released ported versions of the games for its Saturn and Dreamcast consoles, as well as a version for PC. However, there’s no news yet on which platforms the new remakes will support, so stay tuned as more news is set to come.
Elsewhere in gaming, SQUARE ENIX has announced that Ms. Marvel will be joining the roster of playable characters in Marvel’s Avengers.
Hi Guys! We confirm the signing of the agreement regarding remakes of the games “The House of the Dead” and “The House of the Dead 2”. No platforms or release dates have been confirmed, and unfortunately we can’t say anything more for now. Please keep fingers crossed for us and..
