Danny Brown Enlists Run The Jewels for JPEGMAFIA-Produced "3 Tearz"

After releasing his comedic visual for lead single “Dirty Laundry” and his track alongside Q-Tip entitled “Best Life,” Detroit rapper Danny Brown has released the third single of his forthcoming album uknowhatimsayin¿. Entitled “Tearz,” Brown’s latest track enlists frequent collaborators Run The Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike) as well as production from JPEGMAFIA.

The three rappers ride perfectly over the nostalgia-tinged beat, which remains filled with Peggy’s usual lo-fi prowess, intertwined with a low-profile boom bap breakbeat that sees a variety of samples being employed. “3 Tearz” was originally premiered tonight via Danny Brown’s Twitch channel, releasing the piece an hour later on all streaming platforms. The track is the first of two singles on uknowhatimsayin¿ that has been contributed to by Peggy, the second being “Negro Spiritual,” in which he will provide a vocal performance.
